Full-time · Amsterdam

About United Repair Centre

We’re United Repair Centre (URC), and we’re on a mission to reshape the clothing industry by extending the life of clothing while putting people first. Our scalable repair approach and platform serves global brands, cuts textile waste, and puts craftsmanship and impact at the heart of the clothing industry, while creating meaningful jobs for people distanced from the labor market.

We are now building our tech hub in Europe to scale our SaaS platform across brands.

Ready to Build the Platform That Repairs the Clothing Industry?

About the role

Big brands send us their broken clothes and we fix them. Every time a new brand signs up, their repair service has to go live: emails written, payments set up, shipping sorted, every button tested. That's where you come in.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Technology team. In this role, you will support the launches of world-class brands on our digital services to begin their repair programmes with URC. You will work closely with the development and partnerships team to increase efficiency, improve productivity, reduce costs, and digitise manual processes. You don't need to code. You need to be curious, sharp, and good with tools, including AI.

What you will do:

  • Configure new partners on our platform: customer emails, language settings, payment settings, shipping options and other partner-specific details.

  • Write and edit email templates, using AI tools to prepare versions in different languages.

  • Test partner set-ups end to end before launch, acting as the customer to check that every step works.

  • Find, reproduce and log bugs with clear steps, screenshots and expected results.

  • Translate what the Partnerships team needs into clear tasks for the Tech team, and explain technical constraints back in plain language.

  • Keep onboarding checklists and documentation up to date, and suggest where steps can be simplified or automated.

  • Help define and document requirements for the rebuild of our operational platform.

  • Map current operational and onboarding processes, and spot where manual steps can be digitised.

  • Join user research and testing sessions with the wider product team.

Who we're looking for

We care more about how you work than what you study. You might be a good fit if you:

  • Enjoy getting into the settings of a tool and figuring out how it works, and you don't wait for someone to show you.

  • Already use AI tools such as Claude in your studies or work, and know how to check and improve what they produce.

  • Notice when something is off, using your attention to detail, and you want to find out why.

  • Can write clearly and concisely in English.

  • Are organised and can keep several partner set-ups moving at once without losing track of details.

  • Are comfortable asking questions and working with people across different teams.

  • Have curiosity and enthusiasm for circular economy solutions and sustainable fashion.

Nice to have

  • Studies in a field like HBO-ICT (Business IT & Management), Technische Bedrijfskunde / Industrial Engineering & Management, Communication & Multimedia Design, Information Science or Business Analytics, though we welcome applicants from any background.

  • Experience with e-commerce or SaaS tools such as Stripe, Zendesk, Notion from a job, side project or your own webshop.

  • Experience in customer support, QA or software testing, account management or e-commerce operations.

  • Studies in a field like Business Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Information Management, Business Analytics, though we welcome applicants from any background.

  • A basic understanding of how systems connect, such as APIs and databases.

What you don't need

  • Coding skills. You will work closely with developers, but you won't be one.

  • A background in fashion or sustainability. We'll teach you what you need to know about repair and our partners.

What's in it for you

  • Real impact. The brands you launch go live with real customers. This isn't a coffee-run internship.

  • Skills that get you hired. Tech operations, product and automation experience opens doors to roles in start-ups and scale-ups everywhere.

  • Tools on your CV. Hands-on experience with the kind of tools software companies actually use.

  • A look inside a product team. See how features get planned, built and shipped.

  • Work that matters. Every repair keeps clothes out of landfill.

  • Very good lunches. We're not joking about this one.

  • A friendly, inclusive team that will actually mentor you, plus 300 euros per month.
